The Vatican reports cited countless cases of nuns forced to have sex with priests. Some were obliged to take the pill, others became pregnant and were encouraged to have abortions. In one case in which an African sister was forced to have an abortion, she died during the operation and her aggressor led the funeral mass.

Yeah, Catholics, abortion is murder. Well, unless you REALLY need one to save face. The point is, as long as a man makes the decision for you, you’re good.

This pisses me off so much. I am not a staunch advocate of religion or anything, but people do not have the right to get smug over the fact that this happened. Okay, so there were some scandals in the Vatican. There are scandals everywhere. This does not in any way denounce or discredit religion, only the priests who have committed such crimes. I feel like people will take any chance they can to attack religion. I was a Catholic at one point, so does my association with that church make me a bad person? No. Stop attaching these negative connotations to religion.
